TV Mobile News

The other week, I got into a discussion in a pub with a good friend of mine (whose opinion I value greatly when it comes to anything to do with technology) about mobile TV.

Basically, to paraphrase us both considerably, he thinks it's going to be the next big thing, and I'm not convinced it's being done right. Deep down I think we actually agree, but are just coming at the subject from different angles - in any case, it certainly made for an interesting half hour.

Well, I've now discovered a new website where we'll both be able to find a whole host of arguments to support our differing points of view when we get down to the next round of our discussion - TV Mobile News. This site, which aims "to help the TV and mobile industries understand each other better and to help them explore the opportunites from the technology", comes with a great pedigree, being the work of Monique van Dusseldorp and Mike Grenville of 160Characters. It can't fail to be excellent.

(Incidentally, my friend may like to note that at the time of writing, the top headline on the site is "Germans Not Turned On By Mobile TV". I'm just saying ...)
