Google Going Green

I laud the approach taken by Google in going Green to promote the usage of their Google Earth. Irony is Green was never any color on their logo. Now that a big name is working closely to promote places in US, number of visitors will definitely shoot up.

Besides, unlike the approach taken by Microsoft where the company wants to get into any and every Internet venture that makes money, ala Instant Messaging, Search Engine and even ASP, Google remain focused on what it does best and continues to innovate. It would not get into the browser business as predicted as it knows that it would not have been a worthwhile battle with the other competitors who are already doing a good job. I am very disappointed with IE7 what with their lack of innovativeness with all features introduced being a copycat of the other browsers which should have been mandatory features in the old IE browsers.

Even Apple was more innovative by collaborating with Nike to manufacture a body mass index or heart-beat reading iPod. At least this would be something useful for fitness freaks.
