The chairman of Portuguese cable operator Zon Multimedia has reiterated that there are no plans for a merger with rival operator Sonaecom. Daniel Proenca de Carvalho has been quoted by local newspaper Diario Economico as saying: ‘In the course of contacts with our shareholders, I did not find a favourable climate for talks.’
